This is our 7th Edition of our Agent Spotlight segment. We would like to introduce Justin Nielsen of Keller Williams Realty in Silver Springs Maryland to our 20,000 daily readers as our 7th, Northern Virginia Real Estate Agent this year.

Q How long have you been a Relator?

A I have been a Realtor for about 5 years now

Q What made you decide to become a Real Estate Agent?

A Some of my best friends wanted to buy a home in Arlington. I did not want to leave their fate to just anyone, and I knew how hard I would work for them. They deserved the best service I could give.

Q What are your thoughts with regards to the Northern Virginia Real Estate Market now and into 2010?

A I used to not like Northern Virginia that much. After doing alot of research, and seeing different areas, I have certainly changed my mind. There is really everything you need here. Great Schools, Urban Centers, Diversity. It is also in close proximity to DC. We are slowly thinking about moving there ourselves. At this time, there are truly some amazing deals. 2010 will be very interesting. As the country recovers, things will get better here as well.

We also need to recognize that prices in some zip codes have held steady, while prices in others have actually gone up. It proves the point that it is always a good time to buy real estate. Now more than ever it is important for any agent to do thorough research. Everyone’s situation is different and that should be taken into consideration. We specialize in Maximizing value for our sellers with systems that allow them to receive 5 to 15% more for their homes and in identifying the best possible home for the best price for our buyers.

Q What Associations are you with?

A I am with the National Association of Realtor’s and the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtor’s

Q Do you work with Buyers, Sellers, or Both?

A I work with both Buyers and Sellers but not in the same transaction. I know there are ways to do this, and, in some jurisdictions, it is permitted. I however, dont believe I can give two sides with opposing interests unbiased advice and maintain my fiduciary responsibility.

Q In What states do you hold a Real Estate License?

A I have a Real Estate License in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Colombia

Q What areas of Northern Virginia do you serve?

A We serve Alexandria, Arlington, McLean, Falls Church, Delray, Crystal City, Springfield, Burke, Annandale, Rosslyn, Tyson’s Corner, Vienna, Merrifield, and Great Falls.
